Vince Leggiere Bio:
He started his musical career playing
trumpet and guitar in elementary school and began playing the bass
guitar at the age of fourteen. He went off to the Crane School of
Music located in Potsdam, NY in 1979 to pursue and complete a
Bachelor of Music degree in Double Bass performance and Musical
Studies.
While attending Crane, He honed his
skills on both the Upright and Electric bass in the Classical, Jazz,
Blues and Jazz-Rock styles of music. He played bass for The Potsdam
College Jazz Ensemble and toured and recorded an album with this
ensemble.
After many years of extensive
performing and recording session work, he landed a gig playing bass
for the Great award winning Blues-man Joe Louis Walker. While touring
with Joe in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia, He had the
opportunity to share the stage with many Greats such as; J. Geils,
Ronnie Earl, Eric Bibb, Duke Robbilard , David Maxwell, The Texas
Horns and live performances on Don Odells Legends TV show and Bill
Wax Sirius Radio He also played bass guitar for The Murali Coryell
Band.While touring with Murali, he had the opportunity to perform
twice on Direct TV “Artie Lang Show” and shared the stage with
Larry Coryell. Vince also played bass on Murali Coryell “Live”
record.
In June of 2014, Vince was inducted
into The New York Blues Hall of Fame as a “Master Blues Artist”
